FAITH & MENTAL HEALTH

A Reflection for the Journey

Faith does not mean that we never struggle.

We can love God and still feel anxious.
We can pray and still feel overwhelmed.
We can have faith and still need support.

Mental health and faith can exist in the same conversation.

WHAT AM I CARRYING RIGHT NOW?

What has been weighing on my heart or mind?

WHAT AM I FEELING?

Right now, I feel:

WHAT AM I AFRAID OF?

WHAT AM I TRYING TO CONTROL?

WHAT DO I NEED TO SURRENDER?

This doesn't mean ignoring the situation.

It may simply mean acknowledging that I cannot control everything.

WHAT TRUTH DO I NEED TO REMEMBER?

What truth about God, myself, or my situation do I need to hold onto today?

SCRIPTURE FOR REFLECTION

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7

What does this verse mean to me right now?

MY PRAYER

God, today I am carrying:

I need:

Help me:

I choose to place this in Your hands:

Amen.

ONE SMALL STEP I CAN TAKE TODAY

REMEMBER:

Seeking help does not mean you lack faith.
Taking care of your mental health can be part of caring for the life God has entrusted to you.
